AI Safety Disclaimer

What Scammy can and cannot tell you about suspicious messages and screenshots.

Effective May 1, 2026

AI can be wrong

Scammy uses AI to identify patterns that may indicate scams or abuse. It can miss scams, over-warn about legitimate messages, or misunderstand screenshots.

Use official channels

Do not click suspicious links or call numbers from suspicious messages. If a message claims to be from a bank, delivery company, government agency, employer, marketplace, or payment app, verify through the official app, website, or a trusted phone number you find independently.

High-risk situations

If you sent money, shared passwords, shared one-time codes, installed remote access software, or provided sensitive personal information, act quickly: contact the relevant bank/platform, change passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and report the incident to appropriate agencies for your region.

Web checks

Scammy may use web search internally to help evaluate current claims or known scam patterns. Web search does not guarantee that a message is safe or unsafe.

Emergency and legal matters

For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For legal or financial decisions, consult a qualified professional.
