How ServerHelper handles Scammy screenshots, text, local history, and AI analysis.

Effective May 1, 2026

Overview

Scammy helps you evaluate screenshots and optional text for possible scams, fraud, impersonation, and abuse. The app is designed with local history and no server retention by default.

Information you provide

When you scan something, the app sends selected screenshots and optional text to our backend so an AI model can analyze it. Follow-up chat may resend the same locally stored scan context. We process this content transiently and do not intentionally store screenshots, text, chat content, or AI outputs on our servers.

Local storage

Scammy stores scan history, screenshots, text, results, checklist state, and chat messages locally on your device. Local history automatically deletes after 30 days unless you delete it sooner. In V1, Scammy does not sync this history with iCloud.

AI and search providers

Scammy uses OpenRouter to access the configured vision model. Scammy may use Tavily web search internally when useful entities are detected. Search findings are used to improve the answer and are not stored or shown as source lists in V1.

Diagnostics and abuse prevention

We do not use third-party analytics in V1. Backend logs may include metadata such as route, status, duration, IP address, and rate-limit events for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. Logs do not include request bodies, images, or chat content.

Your choices

You can clear local Scammy data in Settings. You can stop using the app at any time. Contact us at support@serverhelper.xyz for privacy questions.

Children

Scammy is intended for users 13 and older. If required by law, minors should use Scammy only with guardian consent.
